Location:

Kislali Cd. Bahcesehir. (41 03 57.6 N, 28 40 49.7 E).
Public Transport.
The 76E double-decker bus from Taksim Sq. Suggest Hashers meet on steps by the buses at 12:30 for the first 76E after 12:45. The ride takes around 40 minutes.
Get off at Gul bus stop. Its 300m after a mosque on your right. Take the
flight of steps beside Yigit Bufe. At the top follow the road to the left,
past the gendarmerie. Turn right up the hill. At the top turn right, past
Eda Bufe. You now have a play area on your left. Ours is the block of
flats after the play area so cross the road. It’s a ten min walk from the
bus stop.
The 76E runs back to town until 21:00. The cost of a taxi to Taksim is
around 60 TL.
Chariots.
Take the Tem (O3) west. 7.5 km after the toll (Tem Giželer) at
Mahmutbey is the first exit for Bahcesehir, but only for vehicles with OGS
or KGS. The next exit for Bahcesehir is a further 2.5 km along the TEM.
Second exit:
after passing through the next toll, take the first exit. This
will take you back under the road you just left. Turn left at the
T-junction / roundabout soon after. After 1.6 km turn left at roundabout,
taking you back over the Tem. Keep to the right at road fork soon after. Pass
fuel station and Migros on your left, continue straight, through mini
roundabout to slightly larger roundabout. Make three-quarter turn up the
hill. Take second right into Okyanus Cd. Pass Eda Bufe, 200m on right, and
look for a parking spot.

| Sunday 7th February |
Does anyone want to help set an extra run, as we have 3 weeks between runs (because of the school holidays before you ask) this Sunday? Little Weed is willing but needs a co-hare and a venue.
Or we could go to Asia? Any volunteers?

NO FURTHER BOOKINGS FOR GALATA TOWER AFTER THIS DATE
Friday 8th January
Circle up: 7.00 pm at base of Galata Tower for THE RED DRESS RUN
Run starts at 7.30 pm
Parade around the bar areas and up Istiklal making complete asses of ourselves as usual.
Arrive at BAB-I ALI (Mis Sokak, near the Taksim end of Istiklal, United Colours of Benetton on the corner).
Register and pay your money, receive 1 beer token for your welcome beer and a T SHIRT.
Booze it up as long as you like, beer is cheap (coffee and wine are awful). If you haven’t eaten, there are lots of places on Mis Sokak. Music courtesy of Dick Martin.
Saturday 9th January
Circle up: 10.30 am Taksim Square. Coach to Ferahevler will leave at 11 sharp from front of Ataturk Kultural Merkesi (Top of Taksim square).
Circle up: 11.30 am Ferahevler Woods. A to B run (transport will be provided for your bags) ending in Tarabya English Gardens, on the Bosphoros. Separate runs for runners and walkers.
Circle in the Secret Garden (we would tell you where it is, but then it wouldn’t be a secret….).
Lunch provided (Plonker is knocking up a few rolls…)
4 pm Transport back to Taksim.
7.30 pm for 8 pm PROMPT Gala dinner at the Galata Tower. Entertainment, unlimited local drinks and a 4 course meal. SMART DRESS PLEASE (Bring your DJ) Finishes midnightish. If you want to carry on partying, AMOEBA knows the hottest spots!!
Sunday 10th January
Circle up: 11.00 pm at Galata Bridge fish market green. Run starts at 11.30 sharp Ferry leaves Karakoy at 12.30, if you miss it, you miss the run!!
Ferry to Asia (yes, I know its old hat to Turkish hashers, but the visitors have to do it).
Run from Haydarpasa (first stop of the ferry) to Kadikoy. Ferry back to Eminonu (leaves at 13.50). Runners are off to see the sights. Walkers are strolling towards the on in.
Circle up: The green beside the market at the Galata Tower end of the Galata Bridge (so if you get lost head for there and wait).
On in, a restaurant under the Galata Bridge.

| Boxing Day Run (well, 27th December....) |
plonker writes "Boxing Day Run (its called Boxing Day because it’s the day in England when the country house servants received their Christmas ‘boxes’ or presents… so feel free to keep up the tradition!!)
Run is in Tarabya English Gardens, set by Doormat, Doormat’s daughter (Hewie), son (Louie) and son-in-law (Stu) (Dewy couldn’t make it…).
After the run there is a curry lunch (10 tl) AND a tombola to raise funds for June Bug’s ticket. (For those who have never played tombola, there are piles of prizes with numbers on, you buy tickets and if you match the number you get the prize). Tombola tickets will be 10 tl for 12 tickets, there are 40 prizes, INCLUDING A PICTURE OF NAKED DOORMAT!!!
Can I have numbers please, for the curry (Chicken Tikka, vegetable curry, rice and poppadums).
Bring lots of money.....you can also register and pay for the 25th Anniversary...."
